TENCEL™

Anyone who has ever felt TENCEL™ on their skin will be surprised to hear that the supple material is made from wood. In an innovative process, wood shavings are first turned into pulp, then into a viscous mass that is pressed through spinnerets and finally into a fiber with an exceptionally smooth surface. TENCEL™ combines the advantages of many materials: the fabric has a silky feel, warms like cotton and cools like linen. The wood for TENCEL™ comes exclusively from sustainable forestry. In addition, 20 times less water is used in its production than in the production of conventional cotton.

Care Instructions

  • TENCEL™ is naturally resistant to odors. Therefore, it can be aired out in the fresh air after wearing instead of being washed frequently.
  • When washing, treat TENCEL™ as carefully as silk. Set the machine to a maximum of 30° C, select a delicate wash program and make sure the spin speed is low.additionally protect the garment in a mesh washing bag.
  • Hang it up in the fresh air immediately after washing before it creases in the machine.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and a steamer is a gentle way to remove creases.
  • Steam is ideal for removing creases without damaging the fibers.
