Another quality feature for yarns is how many individual yarns they are twisted together: If a new yarn is produced by twisting single yarns together, it is referred to as a plied yarn. In the case of two-ply or double-twisted fabrics, the individual twists are twisted into each other. This special manufacturing process produces a softer and more resistant material. For this reason, ILUXI uses the higher quality and more durable double-twisted cotton for its fabrics, for example for shirts.
