Merino Wool

Lighter than other types of wool, but at least as warm - and significantly softer. This is merino wool. Depending on how strong the fibers with a wavy structure are, they are selected for different quality levels. The spectrum ranges from 'extra fine' to 'strong'. Extra-fine merino is correspondingly delicate and light and is therefore used for ILUXI knitwear.

Care Instructions

Merino should be washed as rarely as possible, as the fibers can roughen when wet and lose their softness.
If washing is unavoidable, Merino should be washed by hand or on the wool cycle.
If washing by hand, soak the item in lukewarm water (with a little wool detergent) for around 30 minutes and move it gently back and forth, then rinse under lukewarm water.
In the machine, make sure that it is only half full; plenty of water, a special wool detergent without bleach (or hair shampoo) and a low spin speed are also recommended.
Lay flat to dry.
